Need help playing iPod in 09 Sportage

iPod plays thru the Aux mode in stereo but only plays mpeg files and not the apple files that are in the iPod.
It also shows on the stereo screen the file name of the song as VXP046.mp3 (just example file name) instead of the name of the artist and the song that is actually playing. Even when info button is pressed it will only show the artist and song title for a couple seconds but eventually goes back to displaying the wierd file names.

Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know how to fix it? Do we need a different connection than using the USB? It's getting very frustrating!

Found the answer to my own question. If anyone else is having trouble you do need a special cable. More about it in another part of forum. http://www.kia-forums.com/kia-ceed-f...nection-3.html

Or just use an auxiliary cable along with the usb cable, not one or the other, both at the same time and it should work.
