Default Change Thermostat and bolt size help please.

I dont have the car here right now, and my wife is gonna change it because Iwill be at work. But I kinda wanna get some info before hand.

Is it easy? I heard it was at the end of the big radiator hose leading to the engine.

What wrench size will I need, I know I will need a 10mm to even get to it, but what else.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

They get home and dust off the tool box, never read any thermostat installation directions, and proceed to change the thermostat.
