how do I remove the front struts on a 2001 Kia Sportage ?? thanks bill

I have the top A arm off the spindle but how do I get the bottom of the strut out after i remove the 4 bolts?

I removed the nut from the sway bar so the lower A-arm goes lower & took the nut off the top of strut but it still dosen't want to come out.

I removed the caliper & the lower A-arm went down enough to remove strut

the 2wd is cake to get out. the 4wd is more of a challenge.
