Exclamation Please help!

1999 sportage starts, idles then cuts out. idle ok for a while< then when charcol canister purges poor idle then stal. blocking vacuum doesnt change anything. checked cam timing. replaced coils and leads. replaced pugs. cleaned iac. replaced air flow meter. does anybody have an idea before it gets traded in on a postie bike???
# Have since had running reasonable until keeping revs constant around 2000rpm then ecl comes on. in park at 2000rpm engine hunts up and down for approx 250rpm. checked for vacuum leaks and and even sequentially clamped off vacuum lines with no difference.
bit the bullet and removed cat converter to make sure no exhaust restriction.
