Default bank 1 sensor 2 circuit low volts

The code is PO137, (Bank 1 sensor 2) circuit low volts. What does this mean? What does this sensor control and where is it? The check engine light goes on and off. Thanks if anyone can help me. I have a 2000 Sportage.

It means your downstream Ho2s (oxygen sensor) is having a problem, this is the one after your front catalytic converter.

Welcome to the forum.

Koreatech has described where this O2 sensor is located (after the CAT).
It does not play a role in the engine management - its only used to assess the condition of the CAT.

You can find a good deal of info on the KiaTech web site - see my sig for the link.
