Hi, you've all been really helpful in the past, so here goes another question. I'm having a problem with something in the console area (where the shifter is) in my 2000 Sportage. It is getting really hot. Abnormally so. Also getting a weird sound when I idle. It's like the engine is Mis-firing, sputtering when I am waiting for a red light. Any Ideas what could be causing these problems. Could they be connected. Somebody mentioned the catalytic converter for the console problem but I just have no idea. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
