Default wet footwell

hi all
went to hoover my kia to day and noticed passenger foot well
on the carpet was wet took carpet up and could tell this was wet for some
time plus it was worm i think that mite be because thats wear the exhust
is under neave but cant find wear it coming from any idears
i did think it mite be the matrex but not sure as it seems to be coming from
higher up plesae can some one help cheers gary

Probably the heater core -- does it smell like antifreeze ?

hi harry just been out to see if theres any water none there so i hosed it down guess wot i could see water coming from just a bove the fan motor only a little trickle so i guess the problem is some were a round the battery part or drainage holes blocked would that make sence cheer gary

That's usually the area where the input/output water hoses go through the firewall into the cabin area.

cheers harry going to have a good look in the morning has water only seems to come in when its been raining/washed so hopefully not a big problem
just knowing were its coming from thanks for you replys
just one more thing do you no wear i can get a gasget for the exhaust
the part that joins the exhaust /cat to gether iv looked on the net plus rang a round thanks gary

I've had a leak in the same area and it turned out to be a stopped up or out of position drain tube for the air conditioner evaporator.

hi woodchuck thanks for ansering is that part easy to get to just so i can rule that out
as i dont have the a/c working mite need regasing going to kwickfit to test it
soon just keeps raining so cant do anythig just yet cheers gary

If your A/C is not working then it wouldn't be producing any water. So that's probably not it.
