Exclamation please please help

i have a 1997 sportage (just bought) was not running when i had a look today someone has botched the wiring plug to the airflow sensor when i took the tape off to have a look the 4 wires came with it so not sure wot way they go back if i can get spade terminals on that is any help would be great starting at the one nearest the battery i think its red white then black with white line then black please help !!!!!!!

Welcome to the forum.

The below images found on the KiaTech web site in my sig. , should help you identify the wires and their location on the MAF.

The service info is found in the "Shop" sections, and the electrical schematics in the "ETM" section.

thanks for the info just need to find a new plug now as its gone and the wires soldered straight on to the terminals hope this sorts the problem

Many folks solder the wires straight on when they have trouble with corroded connectors.

any ideas where i can get a new plug with the wiring ???? as the car just wont run idles no problem then as soon as you put the foot down it hesitates misfires and cut out ???????
