Default Fuel Pump Change

I have a 2000 Sportage 4 X 4 manual. I have spent way too much money having a professional work on the KIA. I need to replace the fuel pump. Would someone tell me how to do it? I'm guessing I will have to drop the fuel tank. Also I still have an ECU for sale I'm surprised no one has bought it yet.

The ECU so seldomly fails, and I guess that's why it would be difficult to sell one.

I don't have experience with the Sportage, so all I can suggest until someone with this experience shows up, why not take a look at the KiaTech web site - see link in my sig.

you do not need to drop the tank. the fuel pump is under the carpet in the rear of the car. right behind the seat. it has a little trap door to get to it then remove the fuel pump assy.
