I have a question about the relay box under the hood. My wife has a 99 Kia Sportage that I just bought her used. The relay fuse that runs the fuel pump was making a terrible "whining" noise and we switched the fuses as they were the same. The whining stopped now but now it will not hold a charge to turn over. It can be jumped. So my question is does the other relay fuse run something to do with the alternator? I looked at the fuse and it has a crack in it and am assuming that it has something to do with that relay fuse being bad and switching them. The panel that shows what they run is missing. It has been torn off so I have no idea what they run. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !
