Exclamation Starter won't turn off

I am having major issues. When my O2 sensore "fuse" is in, my starter won't turn off. Upon taking it out, the starter works fine, but then the car works like crap. Any help would be appreciated.

It sounds like the insulation on the wire from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid has been damaged and is now making contact with the power wire for the O2 sensor heater.

Idealy you should trace the starter solenoid wire and find where it's been damaged, but as a temp measure you could run another wire from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid and insulate the faulty solenoid wire.

WOW, that definitely sounds like some crossed up wiring in the harness somewhere. And that 10amp circuit for the O2 heater is carrying the starter solenoid, that is very troublesome to hear.

Let us know what you find out on this one.... most unusual indeed...
