2007 sportage

My new Sportage came with doors that don't have the indentations at the front bottom of each door.Why does Kia make different doors for the Sportage.Is it a cheaper model?

I would guess that it would have to be the design of it, it is Kia's small SUV as compared to the Sorento which is the larger SUV.

I had to special order left hand drive.The right hand drives were all a different door design.The salesman said it was a US version when I asked about the different doors,but all I see in US ads are the bigger doors.It is a 2007 Sportage EX.At first,I thought it was a 2006 model,but VIN has it as 2007.I do see the doors on the Sorento are smooth like my Sportage.
