Default 96 sportage sputters

This is a great little Suv. But recently the thing has been sputtering and Missing. I changed the plugs and the wires. I have reset the computer disconnecting the battery and holding the brake down for 30 sec's. Also when I put it in to reverse it will almost die. All the vac hoses look good.

Default similar problem

My '98 sportage started acting up, will die or close to it when park to drive or reverse. Not enough vacuum and power. It has been to 4 different shops including the dealer and and no one can figure out why it is doing this. Timing was done, CPS and crank positon sensor both replaced, all the elctric wiring was checked and the ECM was also replaced. The car starts and idles fine but it can not be driven because it will die at stops and will not start easy. The code that is been comming back all the time is 343 which is the camshaft sensor.

If the problem was only with the idle, then I'd say the Idle Speed Control (ISC) valve is sticky, which most often can be cure with cleaning using carb cleaner.
