Cabin air filter is behind the glove box assembly. You'll have to remove it to gain access, but it shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to swap out. $85 is high, our dealer is charging $43 across the board for cabin filters.

What a rip off price for a basically piss poor filter . I pulled mine cleaned it out well with some air and then rinsed it out let it dry completely and then reinstalled . works fine should be able to do it this way a few times before getting ripped off by the stealer

Give me a break . gotta have those special Kia cabin filters . they smell so freash and trap so much extra dirt . BS all the way . the filter is not just paper !!! easy to clean and re-install . love the fake filter pictures of all the crud they show in them . pulled mine out after 1.5 years and just a very little dust on it . no sticky suckers , no bugs no gum no hair . I'm sure when it comes out again it will not be much differant . After ten years if not replaced you may have something close to those pics but highly doubt it .

All you know is what you have seen from YOUR cabin filter.....not the real world at all. I have seen dozen's of filter that are so nasty, you might vomit if you saw them and then had to breath through them. If you walked in off the street and bought a cabin filter from a Kia dealership it would cost you $25.00. 04Sorentolx has given you many "others" to buy the filter from cheaper. cleaning your old filter is not the way to do it, but it's your car, and your lungs. Why would anyone show you a "fake" pic of a cabin filter? It's not going to make you buy one. The filters do get that bad, you just don't know anything outside of your filter.

Default My cabin filter

Just changed my filter today. I bought my Soul used with 44,000 miles so I have no idea if the filter has ever been changed. When I took the filter out, I sprayed Lysol into the hole while the AC was on to try to clean out the ducts. The car had a "stale" smell to it. I hope this works.

I change mine because it looks too nasty for me to just clean and replace.
