Hey kia soul and kia rio owners, I work for kia of Oceanside that recently opened up. We are the dealership that is proud to represent Kia. We are happy to say that we will soon be a full accessory and trim dealership for the soul and rio. This will take effect within the next 30 days. If you have any questions or suggestions please pm me.
(Steps up on soapbox and starts wagging finger....)
I couldn't believe the markups I saw on the Soul at that dealership. The point of Soul was to STAY under 20K. Between your dealership and the one over by 15 and 78 ("Auto circle" or something), Every SINGLE "!", Plus and Sport was WELL over 20K. I came back down and bought at Pearson. no dealer "limited availability charge" at all.
I'm glad the Auto Park one didn't get a Molten Sport before Pearson found me one. I didn't even leave contact info at the new one up there.
If ANY Soul is above 19K, the Honda Fit (even the top of the line Nav Fit), starts looking REAL attractive, and over 20K starts putting you in Scion xB territory.

KUDOS!!!....... to ANY dealership that can make sense of how Kia does accessories, or can put together a scheme to get some cool stuff FOR your Kia. If you guys can pull that off....I'll be AT YOUR DOORSTEP to GET something for my Soul like those side repeaters!, and everyone ELSE down here in SoCal would show up there too!!
I seen this timing problem with Kia product rollouts now TWICE with this Soul, and the 2005 Sportage as well. I did notice one thing about the Pearson Ford/Kia dealership that ISN'T nice, and YOU guys could change that. Pearson is very obviously still a FORD dealership, and once you are off the showroom floor and back where the parts counters are.....Kia pretty much DISSAPEARS. No accessories, no keychains, license frames, etc. You can still walk up to the counter and order a hood deflector for your '05 Sportage, but there isn't any "stuff" around at ALL!
If ONE dealership would actually put together someplace that makes you feel like they ENJOY being a Kia Dalership.....that would be "juuuuust greeeeat". Maybe build yourselves a Soul "Burner" and a couple hopped up Rio5's to showcase some of this stuff.
The HAMSTERS aren't in the drivetrain anymore....They're in the DRIVER'S SEAT !!
The reason dealerships try to charge over MSRP with such wild claims as "limited availability charge" only want to be greedy to fill their pockets. There is no such charge that you MUST pay. MSRP is MSRP and you shouldn't pay anymore than that.
If we get the same parts as the Canadians do, there is a cold air intake and a cat back, or axel back, not sure which, exhaust. Along with sway bars, a front strut tower bar, and lowering springs. We should get the same parts, plus other aftermarket companies will be coming out with lots of stuff im sure!
Gentleman, and Ladies! Seeing how most of us seem to be new to the Korean car market, I believe i have found a site that may have parts that might fit our Soul motor. KFX Performance.com**** The leader of the Korean aftermarket!!!!!!, Since I believe the motor is the same 2.0 Beta motor as the Spectra, there are parts for that motor at, Netfirms Commerce Pro. Like headers, lightweight underdrive crank pulley's, big bore throttle body, fuel rail, ecu upgrade, cam gear, clutch kits, and bolt on turbo systems. I sent them an E-mail to see if they have started to test fit some pieces on a Soul to see if they will fit, waiting for a reply. I am so stoked!
