I have a 2006 with the same problem ..it went away when greased and has not come back .I get it greased evey service...If yours is 2003 I suspect you have some wear in the splines which is causing the problem..this is not really a saftey issue if it is the splines just annoying ..I would take it back and have them grease it again while you wait ..are you sure that the central support bearing is ok but that only applies to 2 wheel drive versions with the split prop shaft if its 4x4 then you only have the sliding coupling and the joints themselves at each end ...have you checked those for play ???

It would be useful to know where you live and more details of your vehicle in your profile .. 2 wd 4x4 petrol diesel auto manual etc
