Default 2005 EX with 30K miles would like help, please.

Newbie here...Just bought a used 2005 EX and love it! I have 2 issues that I would like help on. I did a search of the forums with no luck and went through 25 pages of the forum and did not find the answers.

1) I like the feature of having the doors lock after the engine is either started and or driving at a certain speed. Can this be programmed in without purchasing anything?

2) I have a moon roof that has wind noise, but with the cover closed is not so loud. Any advice?

Thanks in advance!

dave

Try Sorentosite if you can't find answers here.

I have an 03. The doors on mine auto lock when you turn the ignition to the on position or start the car. It doesn't have speed sensor capabilities like some older Cadilacs I've seen. HTH

Humm my 04 does not do that. And I saw no way to get it to in the books. But I have factory remotes. Do you have aftemarket remote lock and unlock? Our 02 Spectra LS strangly has everything but came with out factory remotes. And when the dealer installed the after market unit to get remote lock and unlock. It then had key on 30 sec delay lock and key off right away then unlock. It is really annoying too. As if you do not drive that car much you forget about the 30 sec delay lock. And if you start car and then close door and come back it has locked you out. Has done it in dealer twice on them. And other places. Once it locks it will not lock an open door so your ok if door is open. But if you start car and get back out and close door before the 30 sec are up your in trouble.

It came with a KARR alarm installed. I am so used to it being on there that I didn't think about it till I read your post. I am going to disconnect said alarm one of these days and see if it does it without the alarm.

Yes, my Kia came with factory remotes (2) and they both work fine...I just thought there would be a way to have the doors lock when inside.

One more question please: I saw that the back window unlatches, but does not "open" up like my wife's Liberty. Any way to make that happen?

Oh, I did take the roof bars off and still have some wind noise, so I will continue to try different things on this.
