05 Sorento Immobilizer

Hi guys I'm new to this forum

I have a problem with my car , I have purchased a KIA Sorento theat was working , someone stolen the ECU from my car , so i have purchased one from another car, i plugged it in and the check engine lighted , but the immo does not light , and the car does not start , i also have an elm 327 , i have connected to the car via scanmaster , i checked for errors and nothing the car won't start , i also have the little metal plate from the owner of the ecu that I bought any suggestions?

My car is a 2006 kia sorento 2.5 CRDI 16V

Well two things If you got a 06 CRDI and you put back and nothing else was taken or splice and dice of wires a 06 CRDI ECU then it should start. AS we do not have programable anti theft keys in Sorento's USA. If you got that feature in Europe and it is indeed on your vech then you either got the wrong 06 ECU for a non passkey system. And need to get the 06 PASSKEY ECU. Or you must TOW it to a dealer and let them program it to the key you got.

BTW folks what happened to CANADIAN BACON or CANADIAN EYESORE?
