Default 22.5

The best I ever got on my 2003 4WD was 22.5mpg on a completely windless day in the summer at 70 mph. I installed a K&N air filter and tornado and get 19.5 - 20. That is why I am interested in a Hydrogen generator.

Well guys you got me jumping up and down.......35 mpg on the 3.5 auto 4wd.....i pulled down every convertor i could find to change u.s. gallons to litters and miles to kilometers and here are the results...15,7 mpg on the highway with speeds varying from 75 to 100 mph (flat, uphill, downhill combo) and i have to say that i was pretty impressed by it too....the average comsumption within city boundaries is a mere 10,6 mpg (heavy traffic in Athens).....i also have an aftermarket free flow filter.
Next time i m out on the highway i m gonna try my best to drive as old fartish as possible .....maybe go 60-75 mph and see what happens....
BUT 35MPG????????seems like the number is going to haunt me in my dreams

P.S. forgot to mention that i m running it on 18'' rims with 255/55/18's .....that alone adds a lot to the count.......but still 35 mpg is un***believable

i am getting around 29mpg in and around town, and if i stick to 70/75 mph on the motorway i can get around 39/40mpg. i get 28mpg on the motorways when i have the caravan on the back. which is a bailey senitor wyoming t/a. these figures are with shell and bp going through the fuel lines. they are not as good with esso and total. and if you realy want shyt mpg then fill up at the supamarket you will

If you want 35-40 mpg, you need the Sorento 2,5 crdi and use cruise ctrl. With the airco off you could even get a few miles more.

This can't be a V-6 engine, must be a 4 cylinder eh?

ok then..we are talking apples to oranges here....meaning comparing diesel and gas engines..with different sizes as well..think all of us looking at the V-6 gas engine agree..on a good day we get 16/21 MPG....
