Thank you for posting these instructions. I am shopping ebay for a remote for the 05 sorento I recently purchased. How do I verify the FCC code if I don't already have a remote?

I haven't seen any information about programming the remote for a 2003 KIA Sorento LX. If someone has that information could they please share it , thanks in advance.I just picked one up from Ebay and i hope it is the correct one for my 03 Sorento:

FCC ID: PLNBONTEC-T009

BONTEC CO., LTD

When i bought the Sorento from the orig owner, they never supplied the original so i had to resort to Ebay to get one, hoping it is the correct one.

Talking remote

unless you realy want that lame kia remote , you can buy any universal 3-4 channel remote and program it , its pretty easy you hold the two remotes facing each other and your done in 4 min, i did it with my other car after i broke my factory remote and they wanted 85$ and the universal looks better and is around 30$......for my 07 sorento the dealer wanted 800$ for keyless im like hell nooo..so i got the top of the line Viper paging system with 1800+feet , i tested it from like 4 block and it works great....good luck

Thumbs down 16 pin instead of 20 pin DLC

I purchased my fob off of Ebay. I drive an 04 Kia Sorento EX. I found the DLC but the instructions say I should find a 20 pin DLC. I only found a 16 pin DLC. So do I still jump pins 5 and 6, or has everyone found 20pins?

Default Can't find the reason why I can't program my sorento remote

I bought a remote and made sure that the FCC number matches my 05 sorento. but when I go through all the procedures of programming there is no result. the light don't blink and remote just does not work.
I bought my sorento without a remote so I am trying to program a new remote and having difficulties, does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? I followed the instructions step by step and still nothing. Please HELP.
