04 Sorento 3.5 A

I am a new KIA driver since about 1 month and am very happy with the consumption/performance and looks.
However one thing bugs me , the car can be switched off in any gearlever position without pessing the brake pedal and the key can be taken out which believe can be dangerous as if still in drive and one forgets this , the car can start to roll if on a down slope - this happen to me .
Any ideas about this ?

I was surprised when I tried to put it in Neutral with the keys out.
