Can I Perform Maintencance Myself ?

I heard from someone that you can not perform regular routine maintenance on the KIA Sorento coz it will void the warranty. The purpose was that KIA wants to do all the maintenance instead of owners.

However, I downloaded the PDF file on the maintenace and I did not find anything in the writting that suggest that the owner MUST take the car or SUV to KIA to have servicing done on it.

Any comments ?
