How long have you had them? Didn't you read what ron1004 said?
IMO they are ready to be replaced, too.
I know that this is not really related, but from my European experience with cars running on LPG the spark plugs need to be replaced between every 10 to 25 k miles. Otherwise cars miss fire. And the same applies to all cables.

Once more time - are they black (covered with black deposit)? Are they oily?

I haven't had them for that long by any means. I have only had them for about a month or two. They were a bit wet. They had a dark substance on them, but it smelled very much like gasoline. I am not sure if it were oil or gas. My hands were also very dirty...

The black part was only the threaded part. The rest of them had nothing on them. Sorry that was such a crappy answer to your question, but I cannot be entirely sure what was on them. It was black and wet, but REAKED like gas.

I will buy new ones and regap them. I will let you know what happens.

Yes just get standard KGK plugs, gap them to specs. as close to .030 as you can, replace the bad wires and I'll bet you'll be on your way, happy as a lark.

Let us know

BTW those new plugs should only cost about $1.00 to $1.50 each.

Would "platinum 2" spark plugs that do not need to be gapped be a good idea? I have not had a chance to go to Auto Zone yet, but I saw those at Wal-Mart. I have not put them in yet, because I wanted to check with you guys.

My dad and I are going to be going to Auto Zone on Sunday to get my $200+ back. I will be getting the right spark plugs then too if these are not a good idea. Thanks again!

The wire that I was talking about... I am not sure how to get it. Jon(insert numbers) mentioned it was called "HT wires" However, I cannot find anything about them online. It is a plug that has three ends. Two of them go to the bigger part of the coil pack. (the ones that have the neon blue shaft going down to the spark plugs. I will post pictures of it and where it plugs into to the coil pack... Can anyone help me get the name of it, so I can order it? Or send me a link of it from somewhere, so I can just put in my info and buy it?

Part of the coil pack that it plugs into..

The entire wire and my toe.

The ends of the wire. The one on the left plugs into the coil pack, while the right one goes off into another lime green plug like thing.. Its a lot of wires that it is all connected to.

I can post other pictures if needed, but I have ordered wrong parts before and it SUCKS. I want to make sure I get the right one. Thanks in adcance to whoever!

I would stick to NKG standard plugs and gap them as close to .030 as I could. While at the Zone pick up a spark plug gauge, they sell them for a buck or two. Plugs are VERY easy to gap once you have the gauge.
BTW it looks like a coin with a flat side, about the size of a silver dollar "the big ones".

Stay away from the platium plugs, KIA's like std. plugs.

Regarding the wires, if your dad is driving I'd take the old wires along to the zone and match up what you need. I looked it up and they listed 2 differend sets of Duralast wire sets, which is what I would get for $13.00 for one and $16.00 for the other.

The coil pack is listed for $60.00, but try to just replace the wires first.

Good luck

I already took the wire to auto zone (before I knew what kind of plugs to get) and they said I had to get it from the dealer, a junk yard, or from an international parts place.. The only problem is that I don't know what it is called, so it's hard to find it online. Is it just called a Duralast wire set? Could you post the link for me, so I don't get the wrong one?

Also, I have changed the coil pack already. The shaft of the colored ones were like brown. I will be getting the plugs tomorrow after work when I get my money back. It just sucks that this could all have been avoided if Auto Zone had told me the right thing.
