Default after engine swap codes 740,1505,1624,731

After engine swap lots of codes-Can the idle control valve be cleaned and replaced?(1505)-The other codes I am lost on-The car will not shift out of 1st gear-(auto transmission)-and check engine light is on and overdrive light is flashing.thanks- 1998 kia sephia

Welcome to the forum.

I recommend that you do a forum search for some of your queries - you'll find a good few posts on them.

The Idle Speed Control (ISC) can be cleaned with carb cleaner - while you're about it you should clean the throttle body and the EGR valve.

Take a look at the KiaTech web site in my sig and you'll find a fair amount of info on those codes - they're not always too detailed on the likely cause of the fault so let us know where you need more help.

Sounds like someone bought the wrong motor possibly.
If you have a 98 and buy a 00-01 motor, some sensors are different, the ecu is different, so,,, ouch if so..
