Default Sephia stalls while driving on the highway

HELP

I have a 1997 Kia Sephia that is driving me nuts. I can be driving down the road and it quits !!! If I gas it it will surge forward, if I dont it coasts like I had shut off the switch, hit the gas and it will go again, or surge a couple times.

Idles rough and crazy at times.

has a new Mass Air, and both oxygen sensors.
tps ?

Ideas troubleshooting tips ?

Did the Check Engine Light come on? - if so get the error codes read and post them here or look for them on the web site in my sig.

There's a multitude of things that could be causing the problem, such as fouled fuel filter, bad fuel pump relay, fouled spark plugs, bad ignition coils or plug wires.

Welcome to the forum.

There's a good few things that it could be - if the Check Engine light came on just briefly then the error code would be stored, and if so best to get that read.

Also trying to give your best description with as much detail may help folks here to make suggestions.

I never got a check engine light, hense no codes to give you..

I was driving about 70mph, and it seems it kinda dies on me, when i push the gas , it doesn't do anything, like the car is off for about a second or so, then it works again, I havent had a tune up in about 20k , the car has 105k on it...

thanks for any help

I think the best would be to get the service done and see how it goes from there - it could be a fuel filter plugging, spark plugs bad, ignition coils and HT wires, ........... so best rule these out by getting them done during a service.
