Its likely that the new fuel pump came with new suction strainer.

The pressure regulator is at one end of the fuel rail.

Check with a multimeter or test lamp that the pump is getting power, if not then check the fuel pump relay, then if the pump is running check the pressure on the fuel rail.

I have had my friend who does a lot lot of work on cars check it out and he says when the car quits it looses spark and then the fuel pump stops working.Seems to happen after the car warms up [which is 10-15 minutes].Also don't know if it means anything but a couple of the fuses get really warm. He also ran the codes and said nothing relavent showed up.

Is this your friend's theory about the spark or he really checked if there was one. Post the codes here and let us decide whether they are irrelevant.
Are you a guy or a woman. I am trying to figure out whether I should be hard on you. You know, it takes about 10 minutes to check for spark and fuel pressure.

I don't think that this relaying of selected comments between the forum to your 'mechanic' is going to work too well.

It is obvious that the loss of spark needs to be investigated by a suitably knowledgeable person.

When there's no 'spark' then the fuel pump will stop as a function of the timing circuit in the fuel pump relay.
