95 sephia modification

Hi there,

I'm a performance tech from WA state. I professionally build cars for drifting. Being a performance shop we don;t see many kias (if any) but my girlfriend has a 95 sephia automatic 1.6l. It's pathetically slow and I can;t stand it. I was thinking of tossing a toyota 20v 4age in it but if there's something I can put in and wire up without major mods to the chassis I'd love to do that.

So does anyone know which if any performance engines are bolt in? I don;t care about keeping AC or any of that. I also want to make this car 5 speed. Are there 5 speed versions of this car?

I'm used to building cars from the ground up so it doesn;t matter how "hard" something is. I'm willing to do anything. As an example, here's my last car: JZXproject.com :: Garage

all i know is that the newer versions of the kia sephia with a manual transmission have 5 speed gears

Well ive been reading. Does anyone know if the chassis/xmember is different from 1.6 to 1.8? I think I'm gonna go for a jdm 323 motor.
