Default misfire Problems with my kia

My kia has been having problems lately and my husband took it to his friend a car guy and he told us that it was misfiring #3 cylinder. Since this we have changed the spark plugs and they also though there was a problem was the fuel injector in the 3 cylinder so we replaced it too, as you see i dont know too much about it. Well my husband is all for getting rid of it as he has always been since it became his work car..lol and i just dont think that it can cost that much to fix it. What do you all think since there is still problems with it?? What is the problem? worth fixing? My father inlaw is going to change the plug wires and see if that fixes it. Since we relized that hasnt been done in awile. And if it does i am pissed we wasted 130 on a fuel injector. any help i would love it

Well somewhere else in these posts, there is a note that the Plug Gap is wrong. I verified from KIA that the Gap should be .32 and not .44 like Autozone says. Mine ran rough for years until I changed it.
