Default Hand brake cable adjustment

Hi, is there any way to adjust the handbrake cable only on the brake that services the nearside rear wheel. The foot brake is fine and the offside handbrake cable holds the wheel tight but the nearside is not quite tight enough. Is there an adjuster to just adjust the cable inside the hub itself. The garage were unable to make the nearside brake any tighter as they said when they adjusted the auto adjuster in the drum that effects the footbrake and handbrake it caused the drum to rub the rear shoes on that hub.

Smile Kia parking brakes adjustment -What model year?

I today disassembled rear drum brakes on an 02 Kia Spectra LS. I own a Kia Spectra 2002 shop manual from Kia. If you have same Kia car maybe I can help?
Right now I am having trouble too. I R&R rear brake shoes and had to pound drums on but now they are locked and will not spin. I had to half remove the console to get to adjusting nut on brake handle. Even though I adjusted to the limit I did not get the drums to turn. There is no "adjuster" on the brake shoes assemblies on my Spectra!!! I am going to bed now. I hope somebody who has actually worked on these will be able to offer something useful.
Cheers!
