Exclamation Serious brake problems

Just drove my 06 picanto lx to college and there is an almighty grinding noise from the front right brake, when braking and when i am driving around (not using the brakes at all).
Its got to the point where it is slowing down without the brake pedal being touched...
Had the pads checked about 3 weeks ago (there fine) any idea what it could be?

Anyone had the same problem?

Ewan

Maybe small stone to fall into some detail of breaking system (f.e. braking carriages or pads).

To decide this problem, you will drive backward a few tens of meters with short-term breaking. As variant, you can wash your wheels by sheet of water with high pressure, but after washing you will drying your brakes on the way, using breake pedal smoothly.

Hi Ewan,
I had a similar problem last year on my 06 SX. When I was changing gear to join the motorway it seemed like I was slowing down, not speeding up.
I took it to the garage when I bought it & it was still under warranty. They replaced the master brake cylinder and that seems to do the trick.
Hope you get yours sorted out.

JELLYb you are correct. There,s a recall on some 2006 picanto,s with faulty master cylinders. if your warranty is up, get a repair kit from hyundai 2005 atos prime. IT WORKS!!!!
