Question Loss of power

Can anyone help? Have lost power on my 2004 1.1 Picanto. Have had diagnostic done and they can't find anything wrong. Have changed exhaust and cat as it was thought to be a restriction in the exhaust system. The car just wont accellerate. Possibly something mechanical is wrong, have spent a fortune and still not fixed. Any ideas, please.

Sorry but this sounds so familiar;- Crankshaft bolt? Look it up on the forum. It has been discussed at length. Picantos from 2004 seem to be the ones that suffer most although I suspect more will follow as they age. Hope I'm wrong.

hey
newbie here
i have a picanto 2004
basically, there is no pick-up in mine
is it related with the crackshaft problem?

one more, what is the most obvious sign if the crankshaft is broken?
what does it mean by loss power?
can describe more detail
thanks

and if it is,do kia provide free replacement for it?
even tough mine are out of warranty already (drive 120,000km already)

"no pick-up" typically means the same as "loss of power".

If the crankshaft is "broken" the engine will be dead.

No they wont replace it free if it's out of warranty.

Get the oil changed and if need be, the gearbox serviced.

Not exactly sure what you're explaining, but it may be that your Idle Speed Control (ISC) valve needs cleaning or replacement.

I have Picanto 1.1 2004 and already 20000KM. Last month it has low power and I sent to Kia services. Mechanic said there are the problem with timing but it crankshaft repaired by them. I am surprised that in this forum and other kia picanto forum, a lot people complaint about low power and crankshaft failure. If like that, do you what action have taken by KIA?
