Did you just put the induction on and it was fine, or did you have too tune the ECU as well to cope with the extra air? I want to put a induction kit on my Picanto as well, was thinking of running the pipe down to the bumper (away from the engine) where there is more cold air coming through, and just fitting a cone filter on the end. It would be next to the radiator, just lower down.

Yeah i put a cold air feed coming to the front grill it runs a lot cooler, yeah, you need to take of the positive battery conection for at least 4 hours. Then reconect it and start it up. let it idle for five mins and it should re-set. It will idle quite low after the that always, unless you fit a crankcase breather on the other side. Or even better a ecotek valave, they are the nuts. My idles perfect with no grumbles at all...

Hey jkrice, did you install the turbo and it works fine?? i have some problems installing mine. Is that a bolt on turbo kit? i'm really interested, where did you bought it from? I saw a video on youtube with some guys from a torcon company installing a turbo kit.
please email me at startpc@otenet.gr for info i'm really interested.
P.S. what did you do for fuel management?

The car in the Youtube video is mine... hehe.
Of crouse the Blow Off Valve won't be the HKS one because
it costs about as most turbos that fit in the Picanto. Fuel management
is not a problem becuase we actually modified the ECU to take on the boost.
It says 81 HP on the reply but that's without the exhaust and more ECU
tweaking. Considering the fact that dyno readings are relative to the dyno
the stock power was around 49 HP that will make it around 65% increase
in power. Also the clutch slips due to the increase in power. As far as
stability goes it is VERY STABLE. We don't develop parts that will only
run at max HP for a few months.

here is a pic of the engine bay

I will send you the list of parts and pricing and dyno results soon. Check youtube
as we are updating our progress.
