Default Engine check light

Have noticed the engine check light flashes on my wife’s picanto 1.1 SE, very briefly (not all the time) when going down a long hill in 4th or 5th gear.
With foot off the throttle,
Just wondering if anyone else have had this happen,
It’s got 25000 miles on the clock. And so far we have not had a problem with this fantastic little car.

Welcome to the forum.

It is possible that the O2 sensor sees a lean mixture condition and triggers the CEL.

Just to be safe, get the stored error codes read to confirm what's actually triggering the light.

Thanks for replying, I think your right about lean mixture being sensed,
And illuminating the light. If the light comes on again I will get it checked out.
