Brake Fluid Leaking
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi my warrenty on my Picanto SE 2005 ran out on 29th march and car went in for its MOT on 1st april ( required in uk - not sure where this site is run from) and it failed - got told it was a faulty brake caliber. Had another garage look at it and they said its the piston in brake that is leaking - both meaning same thing really......
Now talking to kia dealership they say they do a repair kit for that - all the seals, does anyone know if this is worth having a go at as its the cheaper option as all garages I have checked with want an arm and a leg to replace full brake caliper - over £300 /$600approx.
Garage told me that really this should not have happened in a 3 year old car.
Not to happy about this happening right after warrenty run out - anyone else had this and had any luck going to kia and seeing if they will repair it as it was only 3 days after warrenty.......if not car is going to be off road for a bit as cannot afford that kind of money just now and tax due end of month and no tax without mot.
Not having much luck with them as last year a lorry took out my previous one (picanto se 2004 - which had only had a year) and so had to have a replacement, now this with this one. Yet its a great little car, but just wondering is it going to constantly break down now or have problems............
Thanks
