Speedo Change UK

I have a French spec Picanto which I want to import into the UK (I live my car and don't want to change it). The speedo needs to be in MPH to satisfy Type Approval. Is this possible to change this myself? Will I have to remove the whole dash? Where can I get a dial in MPH from? Thanks in anticipation.

If you are importing a car (presumably LHD) into the UK, why do you need to change the speedo? Type approval only applies to new models, self build cars or cars first registered. Most (maybe not all) speedo's show MPH & KPH scales anyway, it is just that the predominant one suits the country.

It is a French spec car. The speedo only shows kph. In order to register it in the UK I need to change the headlamps - easy to do myself - and change the speedo to MPH. Don't know if this is easy or not. Local garage wasn't interested. If I can do it myself I will. If someone can do it at a reasonable price even better. I'm in Leeds if someone local knows where I can get this done.
