Hi. I'm from the UK. Recent temperatures have been rarely below freezing during the day but I've had at least 20 sub zero starts in the morning. (0 to -5C). Weather has varied from cold crisp dry mornings to mild, wet and windy ones. A typical British winter then! driving for me is a mixture of urban and rural conditions. Mainly use the car to go to and from work but have blasted it out on the motorway a few times. Performs well at 75-80 mph (120-130kph) but I've not yet tried to get the advertised maximum speed out of it yet. (96mph). Not sure I want or need to!

no wonder you get better mileage. :-) ours ranges between 29-33 celcius. its a tropical country with mild rain in the afternoon. I use my car for school and for going out with my friends. It's better than driving my dad's SUV that consumes a lot than my car.

update: my pica traveled 432 kms in a 30 Liter of premium gasoline. The mileage improved when I returned the old air filter system of the car from my customize air pipe and racing air filter element. Now I'm hoping that it would go a bit further than 432 kms.

Latest set of data;- LS 2007 1.1
372.3 miles consumed 6.973gals (599.03Km/ 31.7 litres). Thats 53.39 mpg or 18.89km/L. Mostly driving on country roads and taking it easy in town. At least two cold starts each day. Temperatures ranging from 5 to 10 degrees celsius. Will try for the magic 20Km/L when weather warms up a bit.

I would have to say the the poor fuel mileage would have to do with driving style. I have a 2001 Sephia it was rated 25 city 29 highway, but I get 35 highway and 15 city.

If your worried about how slow it is in the city then most likely you are trying to get it to accelerate quicker buy using more pedal. You would then end up using more fuel.

Hi
Apart from saving some money for Fuel Consumption
Here's a website any one might be interested in.
I have joined and making some extra money every month. Any one can do it.

Spare a few minutes reading it and decide.

Hi everyone. New set of data:- 343.5 miles consumed 32.0 litres. (Thats 552.81 Km) That works out at 48.89 mpg / 17.28 Km/L.
Remember I'm driving a 2007 1.1 LS Manual. Now covered 6500miles. I'm quite pleased with those figures.
Any others?

My car is 2 years old already. hehehe I always follow PMS every 3 months. Yung air intake ko, pinalitan ko nang aftermarket airfilter and customized air pipe. It was ok at first because it really gives extra muscle sa engine especially climbing uphill plus it sounds cool if you rev the engine above 2000 rpm. The downside was that it consumes more fuel, it voids warranty claims, and maintaining it is a headache cuz inorder the have optimum performance you have to clean all the dirt that is filtered on it. Yung binalik ko sa factory setting, my mileage improves alot. Although I never go beyond the 430km mark that I achieved before hehehe. Traffic is another factor, and the time you fill the tank which is an advantage when you fill up at night, load you carry around including passengers, tire pressure, our weather in the Philippines which is a lot hotter than European countries(The colder the air, the denser the oxygen which is effective in fuel burning), Engine Health, braking habits, and driving habits are other factors that affect the mileage of our car.

For us picanto owners in the Philippines, it is wise to follow the PMS every 3 months to keep our engine healthy. A healthy engine guzzles lesser fuel, thus helps the environment and our budget in fuel as well.
