Biofuel is only for diesels. You realy need to consider the miles you drive and the economy of your car first for lpg. Say for example your kit will cost 1000. At 91p a litre thats 1098 litres of petrol you could have used. this is then 241 gallons. If your car gives 48 mpg the thats 11592 mile you could have driven on the cost of the conversion alone. Also consider that the cost of lpg is half that of petrol.

Now if you do drive 20000 miles a year that will cost approx (with above mpg figures etc) £1725 on petrol. with gas at about 45 pence a litre it would cost (using a 40 mpg as gas is a little less economical. (but from personel experience it was actually the same) but ill just play by the rules) £1023. So now 1725(petrol) - 1023(gas) = £702 that means at 20000 miles a year if you get 48 mpg on petrol it will take over 12 months to get the cost of the conversion back alone this is before any savings are made. This makes it ideal for high milers like myself but for low to average milers its only worth the conversion on gas guzzlers.

No i dont work for an lpg company but as i say i have just fitted my own diy sytem. I am going to be driving a 140 ish daily commute soon so the miles yearly are crazy and thats why i went lpg. The payback time was something i had to use to find out if it was even worth the conversion. You could be looking at over 2 years for payback with those miles if things stay the same way with prices at the moment, and dont forget a garage istall will cost more than 1000. I would say at your mileage then the conversion is a non starter you wont get the cost back, your waranty will be voided (certain parts anyway). Keep ther money and spend it on petrol

I have a BRC LPG installation with a tank in a spare wheel place. For now, I have driven about 1500 km on LPG, and it works very very good. Especially for my pocket . No problems with acceleration, engine works good, but I can hear LPG injectors ticking.

The time will come where cars will have to drive on LPG to have a customer market, but in the meantime the answer:
The italian company Landi Renzo manufactures kits for every model of KIA, they are called omegas.
I got a KIA Mentor (Shuma) Nov 99, which I had converted to LPG with 75 000 km and have since driven another 80 000 km without any problems at all, now I have to replace the rings as the car uses a bit of oil with 155 000 km. The kit uses the vapour injection principle and the car requires 8% more LPG then Petrol at equal performance.

How old is your car? If it's still under warranty, don't bother having it done.

I was going to have mine converted, so I phoned Kia UK up to check if there was an approved kit. They told me that there isn't an approved kit or installer and that they will void the whole warranty if you have the conversion done. So, as they agreed when I asked, if your wiper motor goes, the warranty won't even cover that, despite the conversion having 0% effect on it!

This is not in line with the consumer protection laws (ant lemon) which requires the manufacturer to prove that the problem is related with the conversion. They tried it with the Carnevale but did not get away with it.
Landi Renzo makes a kit for KIA and the germans have a "KIA approved kit" which injects some petrol at higher engine speed.
And remember-gas is not as dry as claimed-it contains oil.
