I've had mine upto 120mph on the German Autobahns. Admittedly i was going downhill at the time. I do tend to drive at between 100-110 most times though. I have a Picanto LX (2005) and it can do 110mph easily.

I think most drivers who can see a typical German motorist in his BMW coming up behind them doing 180+ with no intention of slowing down tends to concentrate the mind and make you put your foot down to get out of the way!!

The Picanto is a fine, reliable and capable economy car, cheap to buy, reasonably economical to own (except possibly the clutches I am reading about!), but it is not fast.

I have a Picanto for everyday economy travel, and a Yamaha Fazer 1000 motorcycle for when I want to go exhileratingly quickly.

Just accept it for what it is, a 1.1 car is never going to be fast.

Sorry, I am not knocking it, it is a great little car and I love it.

I am proud with my PICA,its accelerate to 150KPH it can be reach to 160KPH but i felt the engine could blow at 5000rpm. fuel consumption average is about 21km/li city driving. I am just having a problem with low pick power on uphill.

hmmm I guess my pica(morning since I am in Korea) can only hit
160KPH since there is a speed fuel cutoff in the ECU. But I can
definitely say that it doesn't have a hard time getting there.
It's a 1.0l pushing 0.5 bar boost. gonna change the turbins to
push 1.0 bar. We'll see what happens.
