How many of you have purchased a spare wheel for your Picanto? I am going to make enquiries when I pick up my Picanto from the garage this afternoon. I don't really trust the repair kit work should I get a puncture. We have tried a similar product when my husband got a puncture on his van and we didn't have much luck with it.

I have a spare wheel kit, didn't purchase it as such, just told the dealer I wanted it for free when I bought the car.

I think there's other posts on this on here. A lot of people have got one as they don't trust the repair kit. Some got it as part of the deal when they bought the car, otherwise its ~£95 for the kit (full size wheel/tyre and jack and wheel brace). Fits in boot well in place of foam insert. With spare in place you'll need to trim the lugs on the underside of the foam tray to get it to sit flat (sharp knife, 2min job).

Definately buy one. if you get a sidewall puncture they are compltetely useless, and they make a real mess of your rims. I got a couple of screws in my tyre, Luckly I had a spare and drove away in about 15 mins, needing to get somewhere, happy I wasn't going to get a blow out..... Worth it, well worth it

Quite a lot of dealers keep them in stock, just walk in, buy it, they'll fit it and you're away in ~5mins.
