Hiya,

Just wondering what pressure you guys keep your picanto tyres at? The manual says they should be at 30 for upto 2 persons and 32 for a full load. I've been keeping mine at 30 but sometimes if i give people a lift i might have 3 or 4 people in the car. So short of keep adding more air or taking some out dependent on passenger numbers, which pressure is best to use?

Cheers
Nick

i use 32, though most of the times alone in the car...
btw, 'have you tried N2 in your tyres? they say the pressure is maintained even in long drive, and minimizes bumpy feeling... it's a plus also because the tires don't get hot as the normal when you drive in long and hot weather....i used it in my motorcycle, and notice improvements...

I keep my pressures at 30. Tyre pressures are very important as they are the only part of the car in contact with the road, not only that but for each tyre there is only about the size of a foot print each touching the road at anyone time.

Im using this guide, but that because, i'm not driving on standard tyres.
Anyway, it's a okay guide, and my tyre pressure on 14" when that was on, was about 32 psi for a profil called 60. In Denmark the picanto is delivered with 165/60/14"

15" 45-55 profil: 35-40 psi
16" 40-55 profil: 38-43 psi on my 195/40/16 tyre I have 40 psi.
17" 35-50 profil: 40-45 psi
18" 35-50 profil: 42-47 psi
19" 30-45 profil: 42-47 psi

N2 is Nitrogen Gas.

the idea is that it doesnt have any moisture in it, unlike "air" so it doesnt expand/contract as much. used in racing alot as the tyres need to be kept at constant pressures at high temperatures.

not sure that it affects handling or the feel of the car though. never used it myslef
