Default Malfunction Indicator Light?

I got into my truck this morning to go to work and noticed an indicator light on the dash that I did not know what it was. I looked it up in the manual and it is identified as the Malfunction Light. I called the service department at the Kia dealership and they asked if the truck drive ok and I said it appeared to. She said it isn't anything to be too concerned with and just to make an appointment. I couldn't make it there until next Friday. So I stopped at Auto Zone on my way home. they plugged their computer into the fuse box and got an 0565 error(I think). I misplaced the print out they gave me. He said it was in relation to EVAP emission leak. He asked if I had gotten last night or this morning and I haven't. We have had a lot of rain here lately and an extremely bad storm that came through last night. Any ideas as to what this could be? Any insight anyone can provide would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sorry for the long post but it kind of bothers me.

There must have been another code because a P0565 is a cruise control error, and would not cause the MIL to illuminate.

A code that starts with P04 is an evap system fault, e.g., P0455. An evap system concern 99% of the time will not cause a performance problem.

Ok I couldn't remember what the code was. She couldn't find the paper they gave her. I let my wife type what was going on cause she knew better what happened. She has an appointment next Fri to go to the dealer.

Do you know what might cause this alarm?

99.999% of the time evap emissions leak is a loose gas cap...

She told me that she got gas this morning on her way to work and it was still on afterwards. We are hoping that we can get it in tomorrow morning. If not it's next Fri for it.

if it was the gas cap it will take up to 4 complete warm up/cool down cycles before the light goes out.
