Hi guys & girls, I just had to post this because it was bugging me. I bought my Borrego in Aug. 09. I noticed the "booming" sound, it always happened in one streach of road on the way home from work. I didn't know what this was a the time, and just ignored it, but it still bugged me. However, after about 5-8,000 mi it never came back again! I haven't heard it in a year and a half.

???????

Maybe your problem had something to do with the road surface or tyres and the sounds changed as the tyres wore a bit. When I first read the TSB regarding the thermostat I thought it was a strange type of thing, it ceratainly looks a complicated bit of gear. I put it on the forum as a sticky just incase any forum members came across the problem , it definately isn't the first place most people would tend to look if they heard a booming sound.
