This next vehicle is going to be great addition to the Kia line up. I hope they come out with the same V8 in the new Amanti they are working on.

yea its already out in korea with a v6 engine but for the U.S. release, they are planning to put in the 375 hp v8 tau engine thats used in the upcoming 2009 hyundai genesis.

that boreggo is not going to have anywhere near 400 hp. it will probably just at 300. and have all kinds of bugs to work out within the next couple of years

the boreggo has 2 motor options 3.8 276 hp v6 or a 4.6l v8 with 337 hp just went to the dealership yesterday

Is that V8 confirmed for the USA market? OR is it still the owners wish list type deal here. A V8 Amanti thou on paper sounds nice. The V6 is a much better idea. A V8 Amanti will compete with the Genesis V6 for sure and pull some sales form the Genesis V8 cars. Not to mention worsen the cluttered field for the Amanti/Azera/Genesis to be sold in. Any more gene pool deluting and we will have the wild animal chewing its own leg off to eat syndrone. unless Hyundai/KIA is going to this type of deal in product line. And this is very risky bet at best these days.

Amanti 4.6L V8 = BMW 335i
Azera 3.3/3.8L V6 = BMW 328i/528i
Genesis 3.3/3.8 V6 = BMW 528i/535i
Genesis 4.6L V8 = BMW 550i/750i

As for this Boreggo, like has been said. The SUV market is in the dumper. The Sorento made it and still does on the fact that it was smaller yet roomie. And many needed something better then a Rav4 or Santa Fe or CR-V or Sportage or Tuson. Nor Escape/Tribute/Marineer. And the X3 and XC90 and VW offerings were in the USA $$$$$. And did not cut it. Adn they did not need a TAHOE/GMC version of that/Explorer/Mountianeer. Hope the risky bet pays off.
