Default 2003 optima 2.4l with no fire

As the thread says I have a 2003 optima with a 2.4l engine and it just died. I have no spark, but it turns over smoothly. Any ideas?????????

Well, if you have no spark, then you have no fire. Starter cranks the engine so as long as that is functional, the engine will turn over smoothly. When you say you have no spark, all 4 plugs have no spark? If thats the case, check your fuses. You should have a 20 amp fuse for IGN COIL. If the fuse is good, then you might start checking the ignition failure sensor then the ignition coils. Good luck.
