Default '04 Magentis rear suspension squeak

Hi All,

I recently loaded down the rear seat and trunk of my car during a road trip and since then, I've noticed a distinct squeak every time the back of the car moves up or down. Even the slightest movement (like getting in and out of the car) causes the noise.

Is there something other than the actual shock absorbers that I can check out? or lubricate to stop the squeak?

Thanks

I have the same squeak on the left side rear I pressure washed all the moving areas and lubricated all the bushings and still squeaks. I had the problem when on warranty the dealer replaced the part, now I am on my own to repair. My squeak is coming from the bushing just over the wheel.

I have the same problem on my Magentis.....
Just bought 2 rear struts ( vertical stabilizers of the torsion bar ) that have ball joints on their ends.....
At the workshop they said that they were loose and that is what is causing the squeaking....
Hope the squeak goes away... I'll Keep you posted

Cheers

Default Rear squeak

The squeak I have is from the rear upper control arm bushing, the dealer says you can not replace the bushings yet the KIA tech site says you can.

I had a squeak in my '05 Optima rear suspension. It went away when the weather warmed up.Which was good because I was looking at 350 bucks to replace a control arm
