Good point! I filled in the important parts

I am in Nebraska, USA.

It isn't really a problem just curious about the color thing, I love a dark interior. '

I now know I can get a cord on ebay which is fantastic but it irritates me that Kia offers this option but it requires you to buy something else to use it without stating that openly.

if you had the UVO system it will work with the standard cord that comes with the iPod, but if it has NAV then you will require the special cord, which with the Tech package you will need.

not sure about your interior colour. Here is a Canadian 2013 SX model that I photographed

For starters, I have the 2013SX and the "upper portion" is light grey not beige.
Second, you don't even need the cord, just ENABLE audio streaming via Bluetooth and you're set. If you think buying an accessory for your new car is a bummer, then consider yourself lucky you didn't have to pay for Bluetooth, or the USB aux port, or hands free, etc...

Sorry but mine is beige NOT light grey. The picture posted by conwelpic is the same as mine or looks to be. I have had multiple people look and it is not grey of any shade I or they have ever seen. Could it be possible that some have grey and others beige? It obviously wasn't a make or break thing. I just don't understand why they did it.

I do think having to buy an accesory for something that I was told would work with what I have does suck, but I got over it pretty quick. I have an ipod not an iphone, so I'm not sure if the bluetooth will work. That does work with my phone which I have already done. If I asked and they told me I would need the cord, no biggie, but they said it will work with my apple cord. It doesn't so it sucks that they were wrong. I still love my car. and I now have a cord.

Oh, and I did pay for all those other things when I bought the car. Even if I did get a great deal for 4,000 under MSRP, I still payed for it.

I do have the Nav since I wanted the heated seats and got the deal I wanted I got them. Nav isn't something I was worried about having although the back up camera is a great thing.

Default 2013 Kia Forte Accessories

Hello sebwin74,

Glad you love the new Forte SX! I'm curious about your iPod cable. Is the cable you're trying to use the Kia iPod Cable or is it a generic cable? Unfortunately, Kia vehicles will not register generic iPod cables and require the use of the Genuine OEM Kia iPod Cable to be able to use the feature.

As far as the interior goes, it'll probably just take a bit of time to get used to. It's definitely not terribad! Hahaha!

And if you are ever in the market for some OEM 2013 Kia Forte Accessories (and soon we'll have an addition of quite a few cheap Aftermarket goods), we'd love to help you along with anyone else out.

This is some good stuff for you shoppers:
1. Free Shipping on orders $150 or more!
2. Use this coupon code for 10% off your purchase: codekf

Just let us know if we can ever be of help, either here on the forum or using our "Contact Us" form on our site.

Once again, glad you love your new Forte!
