Default Incomming Call

I just got my Forte less than a week ago and the Bluetooth is driving me crazy. I have a Verizon Alias 2 and anytime I connect the phone to the car the cars radio turns off and keeps saying Incoming call. If I "answer" the call it connects to the phone for half a sec before it switches back to "Incoming call" again, If I reject the call, the same thing happens!!! I've tried to place a call and it was successfuly only once, most times I call a number and the radio will come on, yet I can't hear anything from my phone. Is anyone else having this issue???

Bluetooth technology I find is still something that has compatibility issues for a number of things, computers, phones, headsets and in this case, cars.

I have a Sony Ericsson K790 and it syncs up fine everytime. I leave the bluetooth turned on and once I step into the car, it will automatically connect to the Forte. I only had one issue earlier on that my phone book would not sometimes sync, so the voice calling by name did not work. I fixed it by transferring/uploading my phone book to the Forte through the bluetooth and since then it has worked fine.

When is it suppose to transfer or upload the phone book? Is there something I'm missing?

Bluetooth experience = very good so far besides the Transfer Complete thing. If I remember correctly though you can store numbers in your car's system. I think I've read it in the manual. Maybe if I store my most used numbers I can disable the transfer thing and ...solve the problem. Pls keep us posted if you find any solution.

I have the same phone, same problem. It drives me nuts!! I tried all the troubleshooting and FAQs I could find but nothing is helping. I would assume that maybe different phones aren't 100% compatible. I'm just bummed because when I bought my Forte, the bluetooth and MP3 features really jumped out at me. Turns out the bluetooth won't work for me and my ZUNE isn't ok with the USB port.

The only solution I've come up with so far is to connect the phone to the car bluetooth DURING the call. It's kind of a pain, and takes a minute (literaly whoever your talking to will have to hold for a minute as you go into the bluetooth menu on the A2). This isnt ideal for quick conversations, but if you know your gonna be on the phone for a few minutes its (kind of) worth it. As far as your Zune goes, you can go to Radio Shack and get a 3.5 to 3.5 wire; from your head phone jack, to the Aux port in the car. I havnt gotten around to buying the Kia specific cable for my ipod, so this option has worked for me so far.

Here's my BT experience:

Samsung Omina (Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone) - lucky if I can make 1 call per trip, very long initial sync, virtually non-existant re-sync after a call, sometimes I could not receive audio

Nokia E66 (Symbian S60 smartphone) - sync in 10 seconds max (initial or re-sync), callers often complained of an echo

Nokia 2730 (Symbian S40 'dumbphone') - same sync as the E66, but as this is my fiancee's phone, it hasn't been used more than once, so I cannot comment on call clarity

Nokia E71 (Symbian S60 smartphone), same sync ans other Nokias, call clarity is FLAWLESS for the other party, people cannot believe that they are on speaker

Also, rather than getting a cable for your mp3 player, I strongly recommend just buying a USB flash drive. You can get an 8gb for $20 max and just keep it in the car. That way, your music is organized in the folders you set up on the drive, and you'll be able to use your steering wheel controls to change tracks.

Anyone got an Iphone? I'm fairly certain that Verizon is gonna get it on their network before the year is out, but if the BT aint gonna work then their is no point in me getting it.

[QUOTE=D113;247755]I found that the bluetooth quality is very nice, however I've run into an issue that I would like other peoples feedback on.

My phone has 3000+ contacts in it -

I think its time to clean up your phone book!
