Kia Forte 2012 White smoke under acceleration

I have a 2012 kia 2012 2.4 and when I accelerate like in passing the engine looses power and it creates a white smoke screen from the exhaust. It appears that when this happens there is lots of oil being sucked into the throttle body. The car is loosing about a quart of oil every 100 miles. From what I can tell the oil is coming from a hose that goes into the throttle body I cannot see where the hose goes but somewhere on the driver side of the engine.

I am not loosing any other fluids as I have check them regularly. I have taken the car to the dealership and the refused to warrenty it as I did not take it to them to have the oil changed so they flat out refused too. They told me I will need a new motor and quoted me a insainly large amount of money. I do not beleive I will need a new moter as they only took around 2 minutes of their time to look at it.

The engine runs smooth as long as I stay out of the accelerator. I am not a mechanic but by looking looking at it that it appears that something is either clogged or a more likely a valve not opening underload and is sucking oil into the throttle body then which is getting burned causing me to loose power and create a smoke screen.

Can someone recommend where to start looking and does that sound logical? I hate to start tearing it apart when I dont need too.

When I started having problems with it burning oil I had 30,000 on it. I now have 90,000 on it. The oil gets changed very regularly. Normally I change it myself as I change all my vehicles at the same time if they need it or not.
When it started the first time I had passing a car and I gunned it when all the sudden the car lost all power and stalled and the check engine light came on. I pulled over and within minutes it stopped smoking and the light went off. I then decided to drive straight to the dealership. They tech walked over popped the hood and started the car. Then walked off then the guy behind the desk came over and I explained on what happened. He then looked me up in the computer and he asked about the records. I told him I have them but the vast majority are just rescets from the part store with the milage on them. He explained that those will not work as I cannot prove it was used on the car that I needed to be bringing the car to them. He then walked out and talked to the tech and came back in and told me I need a new engine. I could see the tech the hole time and he never went back to the car after he walked away. They gave me a quote for the engine and I left and will never go back there as the whole time he had a rude aggressive attitude.
This was about a year ago
I have taken the car to 3 different macinics and they told me they don't work on kia that I need to go to the dealership. I got one that tried I don't remember what he replaced but he replaced several things with no luck.
The car runs fine it don't miss just burns oil unless you put your foot into it and it stalls and smokes. If you let it idle and burn the oil out its fine once again.
If you disconnect the air breather and look down in the air intake explically right after gunning it you will see a large amount of oil in there puddling. There are two smaller hoses that run to the air in tank and i disconnected the top one and found a good amount of oil still in the hose. I am not sure we're it goes or what it is but I am thinking that is the culprit.
After all this time of trying to find someone to work on it I have decided to attempt it myself.

I'm also leaning to a PCV check valve or something else wrong with the positive crankcase ventilation system.

I would do a test run with the crankcase vents temporarily directed to atmosphere, and the breather tie-in to the manifold and intake blocked.

Sounds like the PCV valve is bad (stuck open).... Follow the rubber hose that has oil inside it back to the engine. You should find it screwed into it...

INTAKE MANIFOLD. Fits: 2012 Kia Forte | Kia Parts Overstock

That would be the FIRST place to look...

PS.... If you have receipts and they are dated and show what is on them THEN you DO have a warranty
Look up Magnuson Moss warranty act... You only need to prove the changes were done... If you didn't do them the inside of the engine WILL show that... They CAN'T dis-honor their printed warranty "if" you have proof...

To be honest I am not even sure if I still have a warrenty with the amount of miles I have on it now I will have to check. Even still I wouldnt go back there I would rather drive a few hours to another one. The whole deal has me frustrated with kia in general.

Thanks for the info and the website. I have been searching for one for awhile and all I could find is installing some kind of can filter. I sure hope that is what is wrong. Well I will find out tommorow.

Well it dont look like it is the pcv valve. I took of the valve and it raddles i can blow air one way and not the other through it. Not sure where to go from here. My best guess is valves. I checked the compression on the cylinders and they all checked out.

Any sugestions?
