Default '08 Spectra - Shaved Trunk Lock

Ok before I complete my trunk with my audio and my carputer ... I want to get my trunk lock shaved off (similiar to getting the door handles shaved)

Now in the case where the battery in my fob might go dead or for some reason it doesnt work any more .... is there any other way to get in the trunk..

(I ask this because we all know the seat releases are in the trunk)

Open your door with the key and hit the unlock button. I thought Spectra's had a button or lever to unlock the trunk.
