Question can i reroute the O/D button???

Hello Everyone

well i just joined a few days ago because i just got a 2004 spectra GSX and so far love it. But i am sure like most of you on here you want to do some modding
Well to my question! For my first mod that i want to do i was wondering can i reroute the over drive button on my automatic shift knob? My plan is to (if i can ) put on a new shifter and boot so it will looks standard .... i know i should have got it in the first place but need to learn to drive it first anyways i think i will look good if i can do this

really love the look of this one but they don't have the problem with the O/D button
Auto to Manual LookaLike DIY (Razo RA89) - Team Integra

anyways thanks for the help and i hope that it works out
a few other questions maybe you can give me some help with it or point me in the direction that i need to go .
i want to replace all my inside lights with leds. that should not be too hard
also the instrument panel gauges i want to turn blue with leds . and hints, help
thanks

I do not think a manual shift knob would work because of the lockout feature, you know that little button you push before you can put it into gear.

I say go for it. If it worked for him then why not you? Also looks like he used a toggle for the O/D.

You can reroute the button and even use your own button of you choice.

ya i did some research on the same knob he used and you press the hole thing down instead of the ugly button sticking out the side or wherever it comes out ! As long as I can cut the O/D wires and make them longer to reroute them somewhere else I should be good . I hope!

The ecu wont notice that its been cut if i unplug the battery right ?
